The History of Restylane\u00ae<\/h2>\n

Restylane\u00ae has been used for more than 16 years in over 65 countries across the globe. Researchers discovered that as people age, their skin loses the capacity to bind to water, leading to dry, aged skin. Hyaluronic acid, a natural ingredient located in the dermis (middle layer) of skin, aids in the preservation of water. When the skin is able to retain more water, the result is fuller, healthier and younger looking skin. Approximately 6 hours after treatment, I suggest avoiding alcohol, exercise and touching the treated area. If there is redness or swelling, avoid sun exposure, UV lamps and extreme cold. I also recommend that you stop taking aspirin, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medications, St. John\u2019s Wort, fish oil, and high doses of Vitamin E may one week prior and one week after treatment to reduce the chance of bleeding and bruising.<\/p>\n
