Once completing an Ultherapy<\/a> treatment, you may immediately return to work or your daily activities. Some patients may experience a mild amount of swelling, redness, or discomfort, but it\u2019s not enough that it should be disruptive to one\u2019s daily routine.<\/p>\n

Another bonus? No pain medication is required post treatment! In fact, most patients report they don\u2019t need to do anything special or use anything over the counter for pain relief. With that being said, everyone\u2019s discomfort level is different, and so if you do feel you need some minor pain relief, any over the counter Advil or Tylenol type product would be fine. \u00a0Using a cool compress can also be helpful for those patients who do experience a slight amount of discomfort following treatment.<\/p>\n

If you do happen to have redness on the skin following the procedure, this should diminish within a few hours, and makeup can also be directly applied to the skin immediately following the treatment. Some patients do report a sensation of \u2018tingling\u2019 post treatment which can last anywhere from a few hours to a day or two. While this is nothing to be concerned about and would be considered normal if experienced, if a patient found the sensation to be irritating, they can revert back to taking the Advil, Tylenol, or using the cool compress for relief.<\/p>\n

As a final note, please keep in mind that unlike other procedures offered here at Sistine Plastic Surgery, you will not see the full effect of your treatment immediately following your Ultherapy session. It can actually take up to six months to fully see the effects from your Ultherapy treatment.<\/p>\n
