For people that don\u2019t take preventative measures early in life such as wearing sunscreen, having a good skin care regimen, or routinely getting Botox, some of their wrinkles can become fairly deep. In Pittsburgh, it is pretty common that our skin lacks hydration during the colder months which can also contributes to wrinkle creation if you don\u2019t properly moisturize.<\/p>\n<p>Many people turn to <a href=\"https:\/\/sistineplasticsurgery.com\/injectables\/botox-pittsburgh-pa\/\">Botox Cosmetic<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/sistineplasticsurgery.com\/injectables\/dysport-pittsburgh-pa\/\">Dysport<\/a> to weaken their forehead muscles and soften the wrinkles. Repeated application can typically eliminate the wrinkles and obviate other treatments, with the additional benefit of preventing the formation of future wrinkles. This is the currently the best option for forehead wrinkles, however, Botox Cosmetic and Dysport can be less effective for lines that are quite deep and present while at rest. For these lines, a combination of Botox Cosmetic or Dysport and dermal filler, such as Restylane or Juvederm, would be the best solution to tackle those wrinkles. Although filler in the forehead is typically considered \u201coff label,\u201d it is more common than most people think it is.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sistineplasticsurgery.com\/laser-treatments\/skin-resurfacing-pittsburgh-pa\/\">Laser resurfacing<\/a>, such as the Cortex CO2 combined with the Erbium Yag laser, can also help address and soften forehead wrinkles. Lasers typically have more of an effect on fine lines but can also improve deep lines to an extent as well.
