Firstly, I did an extended #deepplanefacelift. This state-of-the-art procedure involves dissecting under the #SMAS and the platysma muscle all the way from the upper cheek bones to five inches below the jawline. With this dissection, all the connective tissue attachments that are pinning down the face are released so the facial tissues can be repositioned rather than just pulled on, as is the case in so many facelifts – that’s why they look pulled! This operative approach permits a long-lasting (12-15 years) result that looks natural and totally refreshed. Just as important, I also performed a deep #necklift. This approach to the neck is performed by only a tiny percentage of plastic surgeons in the US and involves removing excess deep neck fat, muscle, and sometimes protruding saliva glands. This more complete neck surgery permits the full rejuvenation of the neck – a key goal for many patients.
