This 64 year old lady from Pittsburgh came to see me regarding an aged neck and cheeks, along with drooping eyelids and under eye bags. She was interested in rejuvenating her appearance by diminishing signs of aging. To address her cosmetic concerns, this patient had a Face and Neck lift, an upper lid blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), and a lower blepharoplasty.
Frontal:
The view demonstrates a softening of her nasolabial folds, lift of the tissues of her cheeks and neck. Her eyes are more vibrant. The pre-operative picture demonstrates a chin that is distinct from her cheeks because of her deep marionette lines. The post-operative picture shows improvement in her marionette lines and restoration of the jawline connecting the chin and the lower cheeks.
Left Oblique:
This before photo shows the extent to which the jowls, chin, cheek and neck have gravitated downward with the aging facial process. The after picture illustrates an overall rejuvenation of her appearance. She appears more vibrant, youthful, and energetic.
Right Oblique:
There has been substantial improvement in her jowls, neck, marionette lines, upper eyelids, and lower eyelids. Just as important, she has maintained a natural and un-operated look. My goal is to obtain an outstanding cosmetic improvement without overdoing it and crossing the line into excessively tight or over-operated results.
Left Lateral:
The skin and SMAS (the layer of tissue located under the dermis) have been pulled up in a natural looking direction and moved into a more youthful position. The result is smoother skin that more closely defines the contours of the face. The first impression from this angle is the very substantial, but still totally natural, restoration of her neck contour.
Right Lateral:
This view shows the result of a Facelift combined with an upper and lower blepharoplasty (eyelid lift). The patient’s jowl and cheek have been elevated into a more youthful position. Her upper and lower eyelids have been rejuvenated. Her upper eyelid result is somewhat obscured by her hair (sorry about that), but can be seen clearly on the other views.
